So as I come to a finish in my Learning Perl (O’Reilly) book, I’ve started to pick up reading in another book called Beautiful Code (O’Reilly). I just purchased the hard copy, because it was so hard to put down I had to read it even when I was away from the computer.
Chapter 1 has been a terrific adventure. One of the things that really captivated me about Perl was Regex (or Regular Expressions). Chapter one covered a problem in the topic and was very interesting.
As for school, I’ve finally registered for my classes. Not much programming but more prerequisites to programming classes. Once they are done I can pretty much jump into any division of CS or SWE classes I would like. Its going to be great motivation for me to do well in these prereq. classes.
Anyways, I’ve been learning very enthusiastically about an array of technical subjects; my only wish is that I continue to be enthusiastic down the long road of life and I hope I never lose this interest.
